Planning a floor project in a managed community

Give the owners the property’s actual access requirements before they confirm a visit. Gate entry, work windows and property-management contacts can affect the plan.

Check the rules that apply to your property

Ask your community or property manager about contractor entry, parking, work-hour limits and any applicable approval process. Requirements vary by property; this guide does not establish that a permit or association approval is required or already obtained.

Share a practical access plan

Identify who can authorize entry, where the crew can park and how the empty work area will be accessible. If the home is occupied seasonally or managed for someone else, clarify who can approve the estimate and receive completion instructions.

Keep access details current

Check whether the property requires a visitor list, work window or manager contact, and provide only the instructions needed for the visit. If a gate code or access contact changes, tell the owners before the confirmed appointment. Never assume one community’s requirements apply to another.
